~AMALIES CINNAMON BUNS~
These cinnamon buns are absolutely amazing! They are super fluffy, soft and simply delicious. Thank you Amalie for sharing your danish recipe with us :)
I really love them!
Ingredients for the dough:
- 50 g fresh yeast
- 300 ml lukewarm water
- 3 eggs
- 100 g soft butter
- 100 g brown sugar
- 1 sip of salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 700 g flour
Ingredients for the filling:
- 250 g soft butter
- 250 g brown sugar
- 4 tbsp cinnamon
- some brewed coffee
Preparation:
- Dissolve the yeast in the warm water. Add eggs, butter, sugar salt and vanilla. Mix it and then add the flour. Knead the dough. It should be sticky, but still one mass. If the dough is too liquid, add some more flour.
- Let the dough rest covered for 45 min to 1 hour.
- Prepare the filling: mix soft butter, cinnamon and brown sugar till it is one mass.
- Roll the dough in two same size rectangles. Spread all the filling on one dough rectangle/layer and then put the other dough layer on top.
- Make buns (as shown in the picture) and let them rest for 30-45 min. Then pour some coffee on top of them.
- Bake the cinnamon buns in the preheated oven at 180°C for 14-17 min till they are golden brown. Cover them with baking paper, if you don't want them to get to dry and crusty. Enjoy!
PS: Eating your homemade cinnamon buns warm is definitely the best way to enjoy them!
