~CHOCOLATE BREAD~

Today I want to share with you my favourite chocolate bread recipe. Usually we only eat it during christmas time. But it is also perfect for everytime you just simply starve for chocolate :)


 INGREDIENTS:

 For the dough:         
- 250g soft butter             
- 250g sugar                     
- 6 eggs
- 200g grated chocolate             
- 200g grated almonds
- 150g flour
- 1 tsp cinnamon

For the decoration:
- 200g milk chocolate
- colourful sprinkles

Baking time: 20-30 min at 180°C


PREPARATION:

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
2. Mix the soft butter, sugar and the eggs till it is fluffy.
3. Then mix the flour with the chocolate, the almonds and the cinnamon in an other bowl.
4. Now add the flour mixture to the butter-sugar-egg-mixture and stire it softly.
5. Put baking paper on a baking baking plate and spread the dough even on it.
6. Bake the chocolate bread for 20-30 min at 180°C.
7. Melt the chocolate for the decoration. Then spread it over the warm chocolate bread, add sprinkles and let it cool down.
8. Cut the chocolate bread into 2cm long pieces. Enjoy!


PS: Sometimes I add 1 tsp of baking powder to the flour to make the chocolate bread more fluffy. But the original recipe from my mum is without baking powder.
