~EZGI'S COOKIES~

These Turkish cookies are really something else! I don't know how to describe them, but they are different than every cookie, cake or brownie I tasted before. But I think to understand it, you need to try them by yourself :)
So here is the recipe and thank you again Ezgi!

Ingredients for the dough:
- 1 egg
- 250 g soft butter
- 4 tbsp cacao powder
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 3 cups flour

Ingredients for the sirup:
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of water

Preparation:

  1. Make the sirup: mix the water with the sugar in a pot and let it boil shortly. Then put the pot aside and let the sirup cool down.
  2. Now make the dough: mix the egg, microwave the butter shortly to soften it and put all the ingredients together. Knead the dough with your hands till it is one mass.
  3. Preheat the oven at 175°C. Form small cookie balls and flatten them a little bit.
  4. Bake the cookies for 20-25 min at 175°C.
  5. Put the cookies out of the oven and let them cool down 1-2 min. Then put the warm cookies for 5 sec in the sirup to let them soak. Pour the leftover sirup over the cookies. Skanaus!
