~AMANDA'S CINNAMON ROLLS~
This is a time-consuming recipe and you can probably find easier ones on the internet, but I think it is definitely worth the effort. With this recipe, rolls are extremely soft and delicious and even two days after baking they are still soft and overall great. If you make this everyone will love you and you will love yourself for creating these awesome cinnamon rolls. Ingredients:
85 g butter 150 g sugar 1 egg ½ teaspoon salt 450 g flour 1 packet dried yeast ( 7g) 225 g buttermilk + 110 g sugar 1 ½ tablespoons cinnamon 30 g brown sugar Recipe:
Butter, sugar, and salt whip together with a mixer for about one minute.
Add the egg and mix for 2 more minutes. Add in buttermilk, flour, and yeast ( if you want you can warm up the buttermilk just a little so it’s not cold but definitely not hot and dissolve the yeast in it) Mix with dough hooks ( most mixers have them) or knead with hands for 10 minutes. Then cover the bowl ( it should be big) with plastic wrap let it rise for 2 hours at room temperature. Mix together both sugars and cinnamon.
Roll the dough in a big square, cover with sugar-cinnamon and roll it up. Cut it in about 12- 15 pieces. Put it in the baking tray, not too close to each other because they will rise a lot, and let them sit in there for 70 – 90 minutes, again covered with plastic wrap ( but remove it before baking). Then bake in 190 degrees for 20 min. If you want you can make a glaze from milk and powdered sugar and put on the rolls while they are warm.
